I am honored to have my article, “Malignant Iranian Activity in the South Caucasus,” published by the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS). In this piece, I examine Iran’s increasing influence in the South Caucasus, particularly its use of propaganda and local proxies to disseminate its narratives and undermine regional stability. I discuss how Tehran has intensified its activities following the 2020 second Karabakh war, focusing on areas with significant Shi’ite Azerbaijani populations, such as Borchali in Georgia and southern Dagestan. I also highlight the strategic importance of the South Caucasus in light of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the necessity for heightened attention to Iran’s actions in this region.
