New Research by Ali Hajizade on Crisis Communications in the Era of Deepfakes

20/11/2025, 09:10

Ali Hajizade has published a new research article, “Anti‑Crisis Communication Strategies in The Era of Deepfakes: Protecting Reputation and Restoring Trust,” in The American Journal of Management and Economics Innovations (Vol. 7, Issue 11, 2025). The open‑access article examines how organizations can protect their reputations and rebuild public trust amid AI‑generated deepfakes and synthetic media.

The study brings together insights from cognitive psychology, media linguistics, digital management, and political communication to classify four key response models in deepfake‑driven crises: proactive, reactive, linguistically adaptive, and systemic strategies. It shows that proactive communication and a systemic, institution‑wide approach provide the most sustainable protection for reputation, especially when combined with neutral terminology, transparent content labeling, and an empathic tone.

The article argues that anti‑crisis communication should evolve from one‑off PR responses into a long‑term infrastructure of trust, built on three principles: timeliness, cognitive precision, and empathic credibility. These findings reinforce Ali Hajizade’s commitment to helping clients in the public and private sectors navigate information attacks, deepfake threats, and complex reputation risks across local and international markets.
